As part of our continuous effort to better serve our customers, we are enhancing the label to improve operational efficiencies and continue the on-time delivery services you currently enjoy.
Purolator’s new label offers significant benefits, including but not limited to:
ESS and ESO customers have access to shipment history reports. Non-ESS customers can obtain invoices via EDI (MFI charge may apply) and request a CSV to allow for reconciliation of PINs with their customer’s shipments by contacting us at edisupport@purolator.com. For reporting information, please explore your shipping system capabilities.
Enhanced Label
Note:
EWS Customers can update their applications to request new label outputs other than a PDF format. The new version of WSDL (web service definition language) can respond with the label in a native printer format for Zebra, Datamax and Eltron printers.
Customers producing customized labels will require recertification by Purolator. For more information on the recertification process, please contact qualityassurance@purolator.com. Previously approved custom shipping systems require updates to comply with the new Carrier Compliance Specifications. For any previously approved custom labels Purolator will continue to work with the customer to design a label that fits both of our requirements and meet your business needs. Customers are required to complete the necessary software update and recertification with Purolator to be compliant with the new format. Purolator will engage each customer impacted to establish a compliance plan and timeline.

E-Ship® Certified Providers |
Purolator will be working with the Certified providers to achieve certification over the next 12 months. All Purolator Certified Providers are required to complete the necessary software update and recertification with Purolator to be compliant with the new format by March 31st, 2016. Once the update is available, customers will be notified with further instructions on how to implement the update. |
E-Ship® Server (ESS) |
Purolator’s E-Ship® Server (ESS) will be updated to the latest version in July 2015.
For any previously approved custom labels with ESS, Purolator will continue to work with the customer to design a label that fits both of our requirements and meet your business needs. Customers are required to complete the necessary label update and re-certification with Purolator to be compliant with the new format by September 30th, 2015.
Purolator’s support team will be proactively engaging customers impacted by this change to plan the necessary updates. |
E-Ship® Online (ESO) & E-Ship® Web Services (EWS) |
The new label is automatically available on your shipping system as of May 2015. Thermal printer users are advised to prepare for the new labels by purchasing standard 4” x 6” non die-cut label stock. |

Why do we have a new label?
To align with industry standards, Purolator has made enhancements with a new two-dimensional barcoded label. The new label provides a more intuitive template for increased clarity, allowing us to retrieve better quality information quickly and helping us deliver our customer’s promises more efficiently.
Where is the PIN Reference Tear Off (Child PIN)?
The new label design no longer carries a PIN Reference Tear Off.
